King Askew is a founding partner of the law firm of Brinson Askew Berry in Rome, Georgia. During his career, King has been involved in nearly every area of the law. King has litigated both tort and contract disputes as well as business and corporate cases. King has also been involved in many trust and estate disputes during his career. Also as an expert in banking law King is the Chairman of the Board of Directors at River City Bank.
King served as the Assistant City Attorney for the City of Rome for over twenty-five years and he is currently the attorney for the Floyd County Board of Education. King also served for five years as a member of the State Board of Bar Examiners. King is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and has been recognized as a Georgia Super Lawyer since 2004.
King is a member of the Gridiron Secret Society of the University of Georgia. . King is a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Rome where he is an Elder.
King is a certified mediator and arbitrator who serves in these capacities in various and complex matters.
King received his B.A. from Mercer University and his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law.
